About Ken Carr

Ken Carr started his media career as a radio personality in 1987. His career has included radio announcing and programming, producing TV, and social media.

Radio: Ken has performed as a radio personality in over a dozen cities over a span of 37+ years as well as served in programming management. Currently, he is the 10am-3pm on-air radio personality on KDRI The Drive 101.7 FM, AM 830, and streaming online at https://thedrivetucson.com

TV: Ken was an on-camera host of the “Mega Movie” prime time movie TV show on KWBA CW Tucson from 2010-2012, and was Executive Producer of the Morning Blend TV show on KGUN 9 (ABC) in Tucson from 2012-2018.

Social Media: Ken has produced, written, and managed content for social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, MySpace, and YouTube since 2005 as well as produced website and blog content.

Ken has owned and produced the Tucson local information and news feed “Whats Up Tucson”
@whatsuptucson on X (Twitter) since 2009 with over 175,000 followers, and Facebook with over 55,000 followers, with a total of over 230,000 followers across all social media platforms.

In addition, under the Ken Carr brand,
@kencarr on X (Twitter) since 2008, Ken Carr on Facebook, and also on Instagram (@ikencarr) and LinkedIn with a total of 12,000 followers across all social media platforms.

Additional: Ken has extensive voice over experience and has voiced and produced well over 10,000 commercials in his career, and has written thousands of commercial scripts.

Ken was the public address announcer for four seasons from 1997-2001 at the A.G. Spanos Center in Stockton, California at the University of the Pacific (NCAA Division I, at the time in the Big West Conference) for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball.
