Hello! I’m Ken. I’m asking for your help with Bubbas, my dog.
Bubbas, who was adopted from Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) on May 1, 2022, has Canine Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (a medical term for mouth cancer).
Bubbas’ went through cancer radiation treatment in late November/early December 2022 at the same time that Tony, my partner of 13+ years, passed away at age 39 from heart failure. Tony chose him for us out of hundreds of dogs at PACC. After Tony’s death, he has been my buddy to keep me company in a big empty house and is a living memory of how wonderful Tony was.
Bubbas is starting to refuse food and is taking a turn for the worse in the last few days. The veterinary oncologist told me recently that Bubbas has the worst case of side effects she has ever seen after cancer radiation treatment. He has had pain issues and a severe infection in his mouth. Despite aggressive attempts to get the infection under control, it seems this is not going to have a positive outcome.
If you have a spare buck or two to help for the last of his medical bills and putting him down, I’d be really grateful.
